The Forstner POWER COMPACT PRO is based on a robust and reliable straightener with six rollers and a powerful slitting unit that can be equipped with the number of slitting knives you desire. Choose whether to slit the sheet metal, and the control system takes care of the rest. Thanks to a built-in, clear measuring scale and easily accessible slitting knives, the slitting unit is set up in no time. The POWER COMPACT PRO is equipped with a straightener where the roller pressure is controlled via the control system, providing perfect results without pause marks in steel sheets up to 14 gauge (2 mm) thick. The Forstner POWER COMPACT PRO is available for both 50″ and 60″ (1250 mm and 1500 mm) coil widths.

Slitting Unit
The Forstner POWER COMPACT PRO comes standard with 5 pairs of slitting knives. The shafts are made of polished tool steel, and the slitting knives are hardened to Rc45. The tolerance between the shafts and the slitting knives is less than 0.00039″ (0.01 mm), ensuring smooth and easy movement of the slitting knives along the entire shaft.
The quick lock system secures the steel to the shaft using an Allen key. As the quick lock is softer than the shaft, there is no risk of damage to the shaft during tightening, which can otherwise easily occur with other locking options.
The slitting knives have two cutting edges, so you can switch sides and release tensions from the material when slitting narrow strips. The machine is supplied as standard with a millimeter scale for easy reading and positioning of the upper knives.
Infeed Table
The infeed table has four ball-bearing rollers that guide the sheet metal to the infeed rollers. Thanks to the ball bearings, the sheet metal can be fed forward and backward without the risk of damaging the edges. They also help keep the material parallel and ensure perpendicular cuts.
Control System F3
The F3 control system features adjustable speed settings and 20 program lines. The operator can program material, length, slit width settings, and the number of parts to be slit and cut. Thanks to the motorized raising and lowering of the slitting knives, waste is effectively minimized. All frequency converters, motors, and sensors are from reliable Siemens. The user-friendly control system with icons simplifies operation for everyone, regardless of language. Another feature of the control system on the nuSLIT is the fully automatic material alignment. The operator enters the alignment value in the material table, and the control system calculates, controls, and adjusts the leveling rollers automatically.
Infeed Guide
The rollers of the infeed guide are angled to match the loop of the material from a decoiler. This prevents damage and creases to softer materials such as copper, aluminum, and zinc.
Slitting Knives Guard
The guard over the slitting knives has a built-in safety switch in the hinge that opens 180°. The switch cuts off power to the infeed rollers and the shear, allowing adjustments to the slitting knives to be made safely. The large opening angle of the guard means that the cover does not require any additional support.
Straightening Rollers
The Forstner POWER COMPACT PRO is equipped with six straightening rollers that eliminate “coil memory” and consistently deliver flat sheets. The rollers are made of polished steel with a diameter of 4.3″ (110 mm). The pressure on the rollers is adjusted via the control system. For more demanding applications, there are chrome-plated straightening rollers, also 4.3″ (110 mm) in diameter, for cleaner and more maintenance-free operation.
Guillotine Shear
The guillotine shear is the perfect solution for customers looking for fast and smooth cutting. The shear blades are made of carbon steel for long lifespan with a capacity of up to 14 gauge (2 mm) in steel (400N/mm²). The reinforced frame ensures a smooth and consistent cutting motion. The guillotine shear in the POWER COMPACT PRO has built-in cutting gap adjustment as standard.

Film applicator
The film applicator can basically be mounted on any table. Using the deflection rollers and the fully rubberized feed rollers, the protective film is pressed on almost bubble and wrinkle-free. The device type F-AG z2mo has an additional arm with tension spring for tensioning the film during the return movement. This design is only applicable for single decoiling systems.

Table with roller
The coil guide is an important component for the function and accuracy of every system. The table has a fixed and a manually adjustable coil guide with ball bearings. The adjustment of the movable coil guide is done by a hand wheel. This specific table has rollers integrated in the table to ensure a smooth surface.

Fully rubberized pinch rollers
If you want to prepare your line for a film applicator, then the option with the fully rubberized rollers is ideal for you. This means that your line is ideally prepared for retrofitting a film applicator at any time and with ease. Fully rubberized pinch rollers available in both 50″ (1250 mm) and 60″ (1500 mm.)

Out-feed conveyor
The out-feed conveyor is designed to move synchronously with the machine, with an ejector roller to support blanks during the cutting stroke and to convey them out of the guillotine shear. This significantly increases cut quality and safety. It has a motor and a swiveling conveyor belt with an ejector roller.

Folding table (ACCESS)
In order to facilitate access to the knife adjustment, a folding table can be installed between the slitter and the guillotine shear for access to the machine. This increases the operating convenience considerably, but extends the machine about 800 mm.
Film Application
Film application equipment can essentially be mounted on all our infeed tables. Thanks to support rollers and rubberized feed rollers, the film is pressed onto the sheet metal without the risk of bubbles or wrinkles. The F-AG z2mo module has an extra arm with a tension spring that tightens the film during the return motion. This design is only applicable to systems with one decoiler.
