CIDAN folding machine MEGAPRO
The CIDAN MEGAPRO folding machine is a powerful and robust folder, making it possible to bend perfect parts in 10 ga (6 mm) steel and 11 ga (4 mm) stainless steel (with a working length of 10 ft (3.1 m)). The beams and side plates easily absorb the large bending forces. Despite MEGAPRO’s strong construction, its use and programming are very smooth and user-friendly.

ProLink CNC control system
MEGAPRO comes standard with the ProLink control system and an 18.5″ (469 mm) touchscreen.
ProLink is a Windows-based control system with a touchscreen available in sizes 18.5″ (469 mm) or 21.5″ (546 mm) with a color display, depending on the machine model or optional upgrade. Thanks to the large screen and easy navigation, understanding and learning the control system is quick. The screen provides a clear overview of the bending process, giving you all the necessary instructions for a successful result.
ProLink
ProLink is our user-friendly control system developed with features to facilitate your production. It helps produce parts efficiently and safely, even for an inexperienced operator.
Automatic bending sequence & collision detection
The control system suggests the bending sequence, checks for potential collisions, calculates cutting dimensions, and provides you with all the necessary data for bending.
Dxf import
ProLink is ready for importing DXF files. A DXF file can be exported directly from a USB drive or through the network via ProLink offline. This feature facilitates the import of new drawings, reduces screen time, and allows for more production time.
Interactive
ProLink automatically calculates the cutting dimensions and creates a program where you can see the final part and the order in which it should be bent. Each program can be saved with an icon, name, and other information. ProLink can also adjust for sheet thickness, crowning, bending center, and rotation of the Combi beam on machines that have these features.
Adjustable screen
For the best overview, the touchscreen is either mounted on a rotating shaft or a swivel arm. The swivel arm also makes it possible to swing the screen to the back gauge side when manufacturing large parts.
Offline programming
ProLink is also available for offline programming. Draw and test parts on your PC without blocking the machine. Completed parts can be saved and then transferred to the machine via network or USB.

Segmented bending beam
The bending beam is segmented, which is essential for fully utilizing the Multifold technique.
Bending beams
Segmented tools for maximum flexibility! MEGAPRO comes standard with the Multifold configuration and features segmented tools in the lower and bending beams for the highest precision capacity.
Bending beams are available in dimensions of 0.79″ (20 mm), 1.5″ (40 mm), and 2.4″ (60 mm). The bending beams are segmented, which is essential for fully utilizing the Multifold technique. The bending beams are made from Swedish tool steel and can also be delivered in hardened steel.
Segmented bending beams are primarily used when you only want to bend parts of the sheet along the tool.
Automatic sheet thickness adjustment and crowning
The automatic sheet thickness adjustment is controlled through ProLink between 0 – 1.96″ (0-50 mm), and the automatic adjustment of the bending center is between 0 – 1.96″ (0-50 mm). Crowning is also controlled from ProLink, providing precise and consistent bend radii regardless of material and sheet thickness.
Automatic tool locking
CIDAN MEGAPRO comes standard with automatic tool locking in both the upper beam and the bending beam, which greatly facilitates tool changes.
Height-adjustable back gauge table
Motorized SBG (Standard BackGauge) back gauge in various lengths and designs with steel balls in the cover plates of the back gauge table as standard. The back gauge tables for MEGAPRO are height adjustable as standard, 0- 1.90″ (0-50 mm), perfect in combination with Multifold.
Multifold
With Multifold, there are virtually no limitations on the parts you can bend. In a Multifold machine, all tools are segmented, and the back gauge is adjustable in height.
Multifold
You can bend boxes thanks to the segmented tools in CIDAN Combi beam. You can produce parts with negative flanges by removing sections of the segmented lower rail and bend only a part of the component along the machine’s length thanks to the segmented bending beam. In short, components with very complicated geometries can be produced in a single operation.
In the ProLink control system, you save your tool setup along with the program itself, thereby saving valuable setup time when running the same part for the second or hundredth time. A CIDAN folding machine equipped with Multifold is the obvious choice for the advanced subcontractor as well as for the industrial company where the design of sheet metal parts knows no limits.

Tool cart
Safely store the divided tooling for your CIDAN folder. The tool cart is recommended to decrease the risk of damaging tools and misplacing tools during tool changing. It is possible to store divided rails on the cart and there is room for hand tools for the operators and machine instruction manual. The cart is equipped with lockable wheels and pull handles. Especially recommended if the machine is equipped with the Multifold tooling system.
